The Faculty of Medicine (Altagana)

Founded by the president dr Mutez Albirir in 1998
The first private- for profit  Medical College in Sudan
Established as  College for Technological  Sciences(CTS)
Promoted to the University of Science &Technology (UST) in 2007.

The main language of  instruction is the English language .
The faculty adopts the modified annual  curricullum , which is  complteted over five years
The first graduation in 2004., the last  in March 2022.
The faculty gained wide recognition soon after its beginning.
1960 graduates had enriched the country and the world with well reputed doctors, hundreds had their specialization and subspecialization. Five are now staff members at the faculty.
Most of the graduates are working in the Western  and Arab countries.

1576 students are currently enrolled. Foreign students were form Egypt, Eriteria,Syria,palastine , Chad and South Sudan.
The univesrity has a clear stand against political act ,racisim ,violence , sexual harrasment ,illicit drugs selling or use and misbehaviour.A student who shall be caught redhanded ,shall  be a subject to dismiss and further legal actions inplaced.

Proud of its heritage for a quarter of a century, the faculty of medicine UST is committed to both students and society to develop competencies required to succeed in health care environments.

The graduate is  entrusted to demonstrate the competencies  of international standards in patient care and to show the  capabilities of self directed professional  progress and the competencies  of keeping pace with future demands.

The faculty reaches to serve the community and foster development of the medical profession in the era of breath-taking advancing technology.
